Kenneth Del Vecchio is a filmmaker who has written, produced and directed over a dozen feature films that star 50+ film and TV actors, including several Academy Award and Emmy winners and nominees. Two of his films are distributed by Universal's Vivendi Entertainment and one by Anchor Bay, with several other large distribution deals completed in 2010. Del Vecchio is founder and chairman of the Hoboken International Film Festival, where his own films are publicized. He also is the author legal books, including commentaries on criminal codes, published by Prentice Hall and New Jersey Law Journal Books/ALM, as well as a criminal suspense novelist, with Transit Publishing inking a 2010 deal with him. In addition, he is the owner of The Criminal Law Learning Center, where he has taught thousands of police officers and lawyers, and is an attorney who previously practiced as a criminal attorney where he tried over 400 cases. In 1995, Kenneth Del Vecchio became one of the youngest attorneys in state history to try and win a criminal jury trial when he successfully defended a wrongfully accused man against firearms charges in Newark, New Jersey. A year later, he had his first novel published and toured the East Coast on a book-signing tour. Selling more books than John Grisham did in his first novel release, Del Vecchio expanded to filmmaking in 1998. Since then, he has written, directed and produced over a dozen feature films that star multiple Academy Award and Emmy winners and nominees. These critically acclaimed films, and others, also feature Del Vecchio in lead and supporting acting roles. During all this time, he has handled thousands of legal cases, serving as both a litigator and contract attorney, and ultimately has become a judge. In 2004, Prentice Hall, one of the world's largest publishing companies (and the largest U.S. publisher of criminal justice books), published his New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice: A Practical Guide, a 1300 page one-of-a-kind work that quickly became New Jersey's bestselling legal book. Test Prep Guide to Accompany New Jersey Code of Criminal Justice came next, as it was released in 2006. New Jersey Law Journal Books/ALM, publisher of New Jersey's leading weekly lawyer periodical and several top legal works, is now the publisher of these two books. In 2007, Prentice Hall released Code of Criminal Justice: A Practical Guide to the Penal Statutes (national version of his criminal codebook). Founder of The Criminal Law Learning Center, he also authored the New York Code of Criminal Justice, which was published by Prentice Hall in March 2008. As founder and chairman of Hoboken International Film Festival, Del Vecchio has created a film festival. The festival, held in Hoboken and Teaneck, New Jersey, boasts a celebrity jury comprised of Academy Award and Emmy winners, with cash prizes being award ed to the winning filmmakers and writers. Supported by numerous powerhouse partners, that have included The New York Post, CBS, The Marriott Hotel, Stella Artois, 101.9 RXP, Actors Connection and many others, Hoboken International Film Festival is Gold Coast/Hudson River event, with venues overlooking the majestic New York City skyline. His filmography includes An Affirmative Act, iMurders, Fake, O.B.A.M. Nude, Kinky Killers, Three Chris's, Alone in the Dark 2, The Drum Beats Twice, Here and There, Pride & Loyalty, Tinsel Town, The Crimson Mask, and Rules For Men. All shot on 35mm film and the subject of substantial critical acclaim, these movies have received domestic and international distribution in all venues, including theatrical, cable, pay-per-view, home DVD and video releases. Del Vecchio has also authored a number of criminal suspense novels including Pride & Loyalty and Revelation in the Wilderness, which have been sold in every major book chain in the country. The Great Heist, published by Transit Publishing in 2010, rounds out his novels. In addition to his film and writing projects, Del Vecchio served as the Judge of the Borough of North Arlington for a few months and formerly served as the Prosecutor for the Township of Lyndhurst, Borough of Hawthorne, City of Clifton and Borough of Bogota. He maintains a law practice, concentrating on litigation and contract matters, and is a member of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars. As founder and owner of The Criminal Law Learning Center, Del Vecchio routinely instructs intensive criminal law seminars for police officers and attorneys throughout the State of New Jersey and surrounding states.
